The Dynasty Story

From the workshop

Dynasty started with a love of cricket bats and a curiosity about what really makes a good one.

Not long after starting Dynasty, our batmaker Luke was given the opportunity to work in one of the world’s most respected cricket bat workshops. It was there that he properly learnt the craft, from understanding a cleft before it is cut, through to the pressing, shaping and finishing that ultimately determines how a bat feels and performs.

That experience shaped the way we make Dynasty bats today.

When we later opened our own workshop in Great Offley, the first bat to leave the bench went straight into the hands of an international player. A fairly surreal beginning, but one that set the standard for what followed.

“Carved Beyond Measure” is our maker’s mark.

It represents taking the extra time, paying attention to the small details and never treating a piece of English willow as simply another bat to get through the workshop.

That same thinking sits behind Nothing Hidden.

We believe the willow should be exactly what we say it is, the workmanship should be there to see and the advice we give should always be straightforward.

That approach continues after a bat leaves the workshop. Proper after-sales support, honest answers and being there when someone needs us matter just as much as making the bat in the first place.

We’re still a small batmaking workshop in Hertfordshire. And every bat is made here, by the same hands, one at a time.
