The Origin

The Origin was the first shape we settled on when we started making Dynasty bats.

It’s built around a mid-high swell, giving you a good amount of wood through the hitting area without making the bat feel heavy or awkward in the hands.

It’s a really versatile shape and suits players who like to score all around the wicket rather than being tied to one style of play.

Pressed, shaped and finished by hand in our Hertfordshire workshop from the finest English willow.

Luke was kind enough to give me and my sons a guided tour of the Dynasty Cricket workshop, and we all came away incredibly impressed.

Seeing first-hand the level of detail, craftsmanship and expertise that goes into making each Dynasty bat was fascinating. Luke’s knowledge and passion for his craft really shines through, and it was genuinely exciting and educational to learn about the whole process, from the raw materials through to the finished bat.

What really struck us was just how much care, thought and skill goes into every stage. These are clearly not mass-produced cricket bats; they’re beautifully crafted products made by someone who cares deeply about getting every detail right.

Luke was also incredibly generous with his time, patiently answering all our questions and making the whole experience really enjoyable for both me and the boys.

We left with a completely new appreciation for what goes into making a genuinely high-quality cricket bat. If you’re serious about cricket and looking for something special, Dynasty is absolutely worth checking out.
