BAT ID STAMP

Every Nothing Hidden bat carries its own workshop stamp - a simple record of exactly what you’re holding.

BAT NO.
It's individual workshop reference.

GRADE
The grade of English willow used.

L - LENGTH
Measured from the top of the handle to the centre of the front toe.

W - WIDTH
Width is measured around the tip of the splice. As each bat is shaped and finished by hand, a small variation of a few millimetres is completely normal. The narrower shoulder is intentional, allowing the blade to taper naturally into a fuller main hitting zone for more efficient mass distribution and pickup.

DRILLED - Y / N
Y means willow has been removed below the splice to fine tune the weight and balance. N means it hasn’t. It’s a technique that’s been used in bat making for years and, done properly, has no negative effect on the strength, performance or lifespan of the bat.

Usually you’d never know it was there.

NOTHING HIDDEN

Cricket bats have got a bit weird. Grain sheets covering the face, willow made to look like something it isn’t, stickers hiding half the blade. We wanted to go the other way.

Nothing Hidden is about seeing the bat for what it is. Clean willow stays clean. Butterfly stain, marks and natural character stay visible too. No grain sheets, no dressing one piece of wood up to look like another.

The same goes for the making. We put a lot into the shape, balance and weight of every bat, and with Nothing Hidden that workmanship is left there to see.

There’s nowhere to hide, either in the willow or in the work. That’s the point. And it goes beyond the bat itself. Honest advice, proper after-sales and being there when you need us matter just as much.

Honest English willow. Honest English workmanship. Nothing Hidden.
